De woningbouwplannen voor de groenstrook aan de Emmastraat in Varsseveld staan voorlopig in de ijskast. Dat is het resultaat van de ruim 3,5 uur durende bijeenkomst waar wethouder Ben Hiddinga van Oude IJsselstreek maandagavond sprak met omwonenden.

While the song was originally recorded as the calmer, bluesier “Revolution I” (with John using one of the takes to create the sound collage “Revolution 9” ), Paul and George felt it was too slow to follow John’s suggestion to use it as a single. Thus “Revolution” was re-recorded as a distortion-heavy hard rock track. John Lennon: "I wanted to put out what I felt about revolution. I thought it was time we fucking spoke about it, the same as I thought it was about time we stopped not answering about the Vietnamese war when we were on tour with Brian Epstein and had to tell him, ‘We’re going to talk about the war this time, and we’re not going to just waffle.’ I wanted to say what I thought about revolution.
***) - “Revolution” was written in response the the Beatles' famous song by the same name, released a year earlier. The lyrics of Simone’s song respond to the themes of the Beatles'. Simone expresses the urgency of the civil rights movement and the necessity of change in contrast to the Beatles' critique of the many social movements in 1960s U.S.
De overheid komt met een corona-app. Maar we weten nog niet hoe ‘ie werkt en wat de voor- en nadelen zijn. Marleen Stikker en andere experts hebben voorwaarden bedacht waaraan de app moet voldoen: hij moet bijvoorbeeld tijdelijk, transparant, volledig anoniem, vrijwillig en ... zijn.
